The downside of family driving vacations is often the way the car looks — and smells — when you get back home. Make sure you have the car wash supplies your customers need to keep their vacations pleasant memories.
Let’s face it. When we travel by car, most of us eat in the car, sweat in the car, and leave an otherwise funky smell behind. Your customers will want to vacuum up the crumbs, scour off the road grime, and scrape the bugs off the windshield and grill. They’ll probably also want to dig through your car wash supplies to find the perfect air freshener — preferably one that helps eliminate those vacation odors.
To help those customers out, be sure to offer a wide variety of scents and styles of air fresheners. Some customers will hate the hanging trees, while others will love them. Since air fresheners are inexpensive to stock, having a wide variety available is an easy form of customer service. You can further help customers recover from their post-vacation funk by making sure your vacuum cleaners are in top condition, with superior sucking power to find the crumbs the kids buried in the backseat or ground into the floorboard carpets.
Finally, be sure to remind patrons that the exterior of their car needs special attention, after a long road trip, as well. Bugs captured at interstate speeds can easily bake on to your paint and become a serious threat to the paint job if not addressed in a timely fashion. Additionally, help them to understand that removing road grime from the tire wells can also help improve car performance.
