Tis The Season for Holiday Giving

It’s been a busy month at Kleen-Rite! Our company and employees have been working hard to give back to the community on top of performing their regular work, and it’s been great to see the results.

A Kleen-Rite Christmas

Kleen-Rite Angel Tree

Our Columbia, PA headquarters became a local Toys for Tots distribution hub for five days in December. Suddenly, our quiet corner of the town was bustling with volunteers, extra deliveries, and families!

Many dedicated community members, veterans, and Kleen-Rite employees worked with the Marine Corps to distribute more than 5,500 gifts to over 3,500 families. Approximately 9,000 children will wake up on Christmas morning to find a book, a stocking stuffer, a plush animal toy, and three other gifts waiting for them as a result of this event. Each family also got a puzzle and a board game to play together this holiday season.

Employees also set up a Christmas tree covered in angel-shaped tags representing a local child’s gift wish for the year. Employees simply picked a tag from this “angel tree,”  bought gifts, and brought them into the office to wrap! 42 children benefited from this gift drive thanks to the generous donations of Kleen-Rite team members in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Nevada.

Holiday Meals

Kleen-Rite collects employee donations for local food banks every month – but we stepped it up in December! The company increased its monthly contribution to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. Plus, the bank was able to receive 9 additional Christmas hams thanks to the generosity of another corporate donor. In a final push, employees are collecting more chunky soups, oatmeal packs, and cereals to round out the food bank collection for 2017.

We look forward to another great year of serving our customers and our communities in 2018!
